Video of a deep sea fish walking on its ‘feet’.
NOAAs ocean explorers spotted a deep sea fish named Chaunax pictus / Lowe, 1846 during an expedition along the Coast of Puerto Rico. While investigating the Mona Canyon they filmed this deep sea fish, also known as the Pink frogmouth using its fin to ‘walk’ on the floor.

Chaunax pictus is a type of Anglerfish that lives in deep sea waters, with a depth range of 200 – 978 m. It has been recorded in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It occurs over hard to soft substrates on the continental slope and exclusively feds on shrimps.
